Get your horse(s) out of the desert heat and bring them to the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona where we offer the best boarding facility and amenities. We have a professional management team that has had years of experience caring for horses. As our stables are located on the border of the Sitgreaves National Forest, groomed marked trails are just outside our gates. There is no better place for you and your horse than in the White Mountains.
Hi! My name is Alexis and I am the Barn Manager at Torreon Equestrian Center. My love for horses started at a young age; my parents had a 40 horse show training barn with Arabian horses, and I spent nearly every day on the back of a horse. (It was my mom who inspired my true love for horses and animals in general.
I got my very first pony when I was three years old, her name was Suzie, and she taught me everything I needed to know about how to love and care for horses (and how not to fall off!) I competed for many years on the Arabian show circuit and one of my greatest dreams was to win National Champion. At the age of 18, that dream came true; my horse Primo and I won champion in the Half Arabian Hunter Pleasure division, and that is a day I will never forget.
I spent the last 5 years working in the Corporate world, but realized that atmosphere is not what I love doing. I’m a cowgirl at heart and decided that moving to Show Low would allow me to live my life doing what I love – being outdoors around animals and nature. I also have a black Labrador named Brody, who is my best bud and loves the outdoors, especially anything to do with water! I am very excited to be at TEC and look forward to caring for your beautiful horses and creating memories together!
